I know, I know, I knowwwwww I have NOT been a good blogger!
Truth is, I haven’t been eating extravagant breakfasts as of late. Philz coffee has still stuck around but, the breakfast appetite is dwindling… To be fair though, I still have quite a lot to share over the past week and a half!
It’s time for dinner to make an appearance on the blog. The polar opposite of breakfast (unless it’s breakfast for dinner), this post is worth writing. Remember when I talked about Culture Kitchen, a few posts back (if not, see here)? Well, last night I went to a Thai class taught by Suparvadee, the cutest Thai woman with an impeccable apt for cooking delicious food. Ten of us gathered in the Whole Foods culinary center and prepared Pumpkin Red Curry, Chicken Pad Thai, Thai Iced Tea, and Sticky Rice with Mango for dessert. We all arrived with quite an appetite, munching on watermelon and tasting the cuisine as much as we could, waiting for the final feast!
Personally, I’m not much of a Pad Thai fan, but this dish was soooo fresh and flavorful that I couldn’t help but have seconds. The pumpkin curry made our mouths water as it sat on the stove but we did have a hard time cutting up those pumpkin pieces. Not only did I learn a lot about Thai cooking and cuisine (they use a LOT of sugar!!) but I also was able to spend time with two of my closest friends and new coworkers!
Next month Culture Kitchen is featuring Persian cooking classes.. you know I’m going to be all over that! I cannot wait to go to more! Let me know if you want to join
Check out more classes here: Culture Kitchen SF.
Until next time,
M
